Another Kenyan man wants to marry Obama’s daughter Malia

Nairobi, Kenya – Another Kenyan has declared his desire to marry Malia, the teenage daughter of United States President Barack Obama, with an offer of 500 cows for her hand in marriage. Barack Obama’s father, Onyango, is Kenyan.

“She is very beautiful, nice and cute,” The Maasai man from Narok County, Jeff ole Kishau told the Kenyan news site The Star. “I am not able to sleep at night, I love Malia Obama very much. I do not know good English, but I know that I love her.”

The latest “lover” has surpassed the previous one, Felix Kiprono Mategei, a lawyer who offered 50 cows, 70 sheep and 30 goats. Kishau has instead offered 10 times more to marry the older daughter of the US president.

The 24-year-old Kishau said that he is prepared to sell his ancestral piece of land in the Maasai Mara to win Malia’s heart. Kishau has gone to the extent of naming the Maasai Elders that he would like to represent him in the marriage negotiations.

This is yet another marriage offer that Malia Obama has gotten from Kenya shortly after Obama’s team announced his visit to Kenya earlier this year.
“To prove (that I’m) serious, I will give her father 500 cattle and even more and I am ready to send them to the US in the form of money,” said Mr Kishau.

Some commentators in Kenya have expressed concern over some issues, of course, such as the age of the President’s daughter, Malia Obama who is 16. Another potential issue is her lack of experience of a village life. But according to Kishau, these are nothing to be concerned about. “Ours will be a simple life. I will teach Malia how to milk a cow, cook ugali (a starchy dish) and prepare mursik (a sour milk) like any other Kalenjin woman,” he said.

Kishau, an orphan, said he has searched for Malia on Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram and Twitter but all in vain. He said he, therefore, decided to engage her father directly through the media.

“I want to meet Malia, but I know Obama has roots from Kenya and according to the Africa culture, it is in order to meet her father and elders to handle the issue,” Kishau said.

He said he has been following Malia’s progress through foreign media and the internet.
