Chessington bans “confusing” animal print clothing

Surrey, England – Chessington World of Adventures has issued a ban on animal print clothing in its premises, saying it confuses and scares the animals.

The wildlife park has reportedly even brought in bouncers to enforce the rule, who will make rulebreakers wear boiler suits over their outfits.

The ban follows the launch of Chessington’s latest experience ZUFARI, which sees visitors journey off-road on a safari adventure.

ZUFARI spokeswoman Natalie Dilloway said: “We have noticed a lot of animals becoming baffled by animal-print-wearing guests. If someone wears the same pattern to the animal’s coat they can become over friendly.

“If they wear the pattern of its predator, it has the opposite effect and the animals become afraid and run away.”

Banned prints at Chessington World of Adventures Resort include: Zebra, Giraffe, Leopard, Cheetah, Tiger, Spotted Hyena, Striped Hyena and African Wild Dog.
