Ighalo is the new sensation in the English Premier League

Ighalo who was named as the English Premier League Player of the Month for December 2015 following a prolific month during which he scored in six successive games. The Player of the Month is a football award that recognises the best Premier League player each month of the season.

Ighalo has attributed his success to God. On his facebook page, he confirmed that he prayed fervently for God to give him the December award and he is grateful to the almighty for answering his prayers.

The sensational Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo, who always appear to point in the direction of the sky each time he scores a goal, is in the best form of his life and has given praises to God for the award in December.

The Nigerian striker is currently one of the hottest properties in English football at the moment, he is the second-highest scorer in the Premier league with 14 goals.

He had a phenomenal December during which he gave defences a torrid time, finding the back of the net in every game he played during the month.

The 26-year-old star scored five times during December, including a double against Liverpool as his humble Watford thrashed the Merseyside club 3-0 at Vicarage Road.

Ighalo who joined Watford on a season-long loan deal from Udinese, in July 2014 is now is now a target for the big clubs in England and Spain including Arsenal and Atletico Madrid.

But £30million-rated Ighalo insists he’s in no rush to leave Watford after winning Premier League player of the month in December.

He said: “I have a five-year contract, the fans love me here, I’m very happy and I’m not in a hurry to go anywhere.”
